I just sat down to edit some photos for this post, and I began to think about what I would say thank you for today. Then I realized that we have no plans for this weekend. My house is completely clean. The laundry is done. We have no social obligations. The only errands we need to do are running to the grocery store and picking up our CSA box. Other than that, things are wide open. The weather is supposed to be cool and dreary and a bit rainy. So today, I give thanks for all the things that are going into making these next two days wonderful:
- Steve has a job that provides him the weekends off, which means we get two days to spend as a family.
- Being a stay-at-home mom means that I was able to clean the whole house today and I am able to easily keep up on the laundry, so we don’t have to devote our weekend time to those chores.
- I’m anticipating another awesome box of produce from the CSA tomorrow. That means I’ll get the challenge of creating a week of meals based on all the veggies that will be coming our way.
- Having no commitments means there will be plenty of time for snuggling with the girls, reading stories, watching Doctor Who, cooking, and baking. We’ll probably have at least one fire in the fireplace.
